The 2004 Marcarini Barolo “Brunate” shows aromas of plum with a hint of wet earth.  Menthol, licorice, dark cherries, new leather and spices are all found in this generous, layered wine.  Full-bodied, with sweet, ripe tannins provide a long, caressing finish.
